MTV Fandom Awards

The MTV Fandom Awards is an annual awards show started in 2014. The awards highlight the best in movies, TV and pop culture – as voted on by the fans.

MTV launched a new age of awards shows with the Video Music Awards in 1984. They continued that legacy with the introduction of the Movie Awards in 1992. The Fandom Awards is yet another example of MTV’s desire to shake up the awards show circuit.

The Fandom trophy is another clear signal of the show’s fresh and modern perspective. Sitting atop the tapered black base is a gold-plated, three-dimensional emoji with bulging heart-eyes. The elegant form is simple, yet highly effective as an iconic brand hero for this new program.

The high-energy show was created for the social media generation. Award categories include Breakout Fandom of the Year, Fandom Feat of the Year, Best Fandom Forever, Ship of the Year, OMG Moment of the Year and Fandom of the Year.
